US equities snapped a two-day slide on Monday, October 26, with the S&P 500 up 0.70% to 7,676.77, the Dow higher by 0.28% and the Nasdaq up 0.82%, after reports that Anthropic had filed for a Nasdaq IPO under the ticker ANT.

US stocks closed lower on October 23, 2026 as Brent rallied to $116.72: the Dow fell 1.23% to 52,215.16, the S&P 500 lost 0.52% and the Nasdaq gave back 0.21%.

A broad selloff in technology shares dragged the Nasdaq to its worst week since late June, while Brent crude surged on Middle East supply risks.
