Wisdom Kwati Group Targets $100bn Revenue by 2036, Plans NGX, London Listings

Wisdom Kwati Group, a Nigerian conglomerate with interests spanning real estate, agriculture, financial technology, aviation and manufacturing, has unveiled a 10-year growth blueprint that targets $100 billion in consolidated revenue by 2036 and listings on the Nigerian Exchange and London Stock Exchange by 2027.

The plan, tagged Vision 2036, was announced during the inauguration of the group's corporate headquarters in Abuja and the presentation of Wisdom Kwati Smart City Plc as a public limited company.

Goals the chairman says are not yet claims

Chairman Wisdom Kwati said the revenue target was a long-term ambition rather than a reflection of the group's current position, pledging to subject operations to stricter governance, independent oversight and international auditing standards. "It is not a claim that we are already a $100 billion enterprise. We are not. We will report under IFRS, audited internationally. Related-party transactions will go to independent directors. If we cannot defend that figure, we will not claim it," Kwati said.

He said the next phase of the group's development would focus on compliance, documentation and measurable delivery, with success judged by verifiable performance rather than projections.

The listing plan

Management said Wisdom Kwati Smart City Plc has received clearance to begin its listing process, with private placements expected to precede a proposed initial public offering and dual listing on the NGX and the London Stock Exchange in 2027, subject to regulatory requirements. The subsidiary operates across seven states, including Adamawa, Rivers, Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Oyo, and the group put its asset valuation at about N74 billion against an earlier reported turnover of N10 million. The figures presented at the event were not independently verified.

The numbers behind Vision 2036

Under the blueprint, the smart city business is projected to generate $50 billion from developing five million homes across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, while the group's fintech platform, which management said has more than 7,000 users, is expected to reach two million users within 24 months and 50 million by 2036, contributing a projected $20 billion.

The chairman also outlined smart-city projects in Sierra Leone, Ghana, the United Arab Emirates and the United States, including an 11,500-hectare development in Nugi, Sierra Leone, and a 200-hectare scheme in Accra's East Lagoon where construction is targeted to begin in 2027. On agriculture, Wisdom Kwati Farms has secured about 1,000 hectares in Nasarawa State, planning to expand to 10,000 hectares by 2030 and acquire up to 500,000 hectares of farmland across West Africa.

The execution gap

The scale of the programme carries obvious financing, regulatory and operational demands. Delivering millions of homes, growing a fintech platform from thousands to tens of millions of users and integrating acquisitions across borders would require substantial capital and sustained commercial performance, and the group's projections, valuations and listing timelines were not independently verified at the launch.

Why it matters anyway

Regardless of the arithmetic, the plan arrives as the NGX actively courts new issuers and as regulators encourage domestic companies to test local listings before going abroad. If Wisdom Kwati follows through with private placements and a credible prospectus, it will add another test case for whether ambitious mid-tier Nigerian groups can meet the disclosure standards investors now expect.
