OANDO Extends Losing Run as CMFC, ABCTRANS Maintain Winning Streaks

Oando Plc is facing another session of selling pressure on the Nigerian Exchange, with the stock down 1.01 per cent at ₦34.15 in Wednesday trading.
The latest decline puts OANDO on course for a fifth consecutive losing session , extending a run that has taken the stock from ₦36.15 at the start of the current session to ₦34.15.
The movement places OANDO among the counters showing persistent weakness as other stocks continue to attract buying interest.
Five Sessions of Pressure
OANDO’s current run has become notable because the weakness has continued across several trading sessions rather than being confined to a single market reversal.
At ₦34.15, the stock is now ₦2 below its intraday starting level of ₦36.15.
For traders tracking momentum, the sequence of consecutive declines provides a clear measure of how selling pressure has persisted around the counter.
CMFC Moves in the Opposite Direction
While OANDO remains under pressure, CMFC is maintaining a five-session winning streak.
The contrast is particularly notable given CMFC’s strong recent performance, with the stock continuing to attract buying interest even as OANDO struggles to recover.
ABCTRANS is also on a five-day upward run, putting the two counters among the stocks displaying sustained positive momentum.

Market Momentum Remains Selective
The contrasting performances highlight how uneven trading sentiment can be across individual NGX counters.
A market can have stocks recording consecutive gains and losses at the same time, with company-specific demand and selling pressure producing very different price patterns.
For OANDO, the immediate focus remains on whether the five-session decline can be interrupted. For CMFC and ABCTRANS, investors will be watching whether their respective winning streaks can continue.
For now, the NGX is showing two very different momentum stories: OANDO remains in the red, while CMFC and ABCTRANS continue to climb.
