VFDGROUP Surges to 52-Week High After Dramatic Intraday Reversal

VFD Group Plc has staged one of the most striking moves on the Nigerian Exchange, recovering from an intraday decline to surge 9.70 per cent to ₦14.70 , a fresh 52-week high.
The reversal has been accompanied by unusually heavy trading activity, with more than ₦4.77bn worth of VFDGROUP shares traded and over 361 million shares changing hands .
The scale of the activity puts the stock firmly at the centre of the session, with VFDGROUP leading the market by both value and volume traded at the time of the update.
From Red to a Fresh Year High
The most notable feature of the session has been the speed of the reversal.
VFDGROUP had fallen about 3.4 per cent at its intraday low before buyers pushed the stock sharply higher. The move from that low to a 9.70 per cent gain represents a swing of roughly 13.1 percentage points during the session.
That makes the counter's performance more than a straightforward gain. It is a sharp change in trading sentiment within the same session.
Trading Activity Explodes
The price movement has been accompanied by exceptional volume.
More than 361 million shares had changed hands, representing roughly 15 times the stock's 30-day average volume based on the market data available during the session.
The ₦4.77bn-plus turnover also puts VFDGROUP ahead of other counters by value traded.
Heavy volume alongside a major price reversal makes the session particularly significant for market watchers because it shows substantial participation behind the move.

A New 52-Week High Changes the Picture
The move to ₦14.70 takes VFDGROUP into fresh 52-week-high territory, adding another layer to an already exceptional trading session.
Breaking into a new yearly high after trading below the previous session's level shows how quickly the stock's intraday direction changed.
The immediate question for the market is whether the extraordinary buying activity can be sustained after such a rapid move.
The Session Is Far From Ordinary
VFDGROUP's combination of a new 52-week high, exceptional turnover, record-level volume and a sharp intraday reversal makes it one of the defining market stories of the session.
For traders and investors watching the counter, the closing price and final volume will provide a more complete picture of how much of the early momentum was retained.
For now, VFDGROUP has moved from an intraday decline to the top of the market's gainers, turning a weak start into one of the session's biggest reversals.
