Growtech West Africa Partners NADF to Boost Agricultural Technology Access

Growtech West Africa, an international agribusiness platform, has announced a collaboration with the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) ahead of its inaugural exhibition in Lagos, as stakeholders seek to strengthen access to technology, investment and expertise that can support productivity and food security across Nigeria's agricultural sector.

The partnership connects Growtech's international network of agricultural businesses, technology providers and industry experts with NADF's mandate to expand access to agricultural finance, strengthen productivity and support food security in Nigeria.

What NADF brings

Established by the Federal Government under the National Agricultural Development Fund (Establishment) Act 2022, NADF was created to address constraints in agricultural finance and unlock the potential of Nigeria's agriculture and food systems. The fund also supports innovation, research, capacity building and the adoption of modern agricultural practices.

Mohammed A. Ibrahim, Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of NADF, said Nigeria's agricultural transformation requires an ecosystem where finance, technology, expertise and enterprise can work together to create greater value, adding that events such as Growtech West Africa can connect Nigerian businesses with technologies and international expertise that improve productivity and strengthen value chains.

Why Lagos for a global platform

Growtech has built its presence around agricultural innovation and industry exchange with origins in Antalya, Türkiye, and expansion to Dubai and Rimini, Italy. Extending the network to West Africa through Lagos reflects Nigeria's scale, agricultural diversity and influence across the wider region.

Alan Kelly, Commercial and Strategy Director at InD Group, said Nigeria was an important market because of its scale and diversity, and that bringing the Growtech platform to Lagos would allow direct engagement with businesses seeking technology, expertise and new commercial connections.

Exhibition and food security conference set for January

The inaugural Growtech West Africa is scheduled for 26–28 January 2027 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, covering seeds and seedlings, plant nutrition, irrigation, greenhouse technologies, agricultural machinery, livestock, aquaculture, food processing and related technologies.

A Food Security and Sustainability Conference will bring together policymakers, investors, agribusiness leaders, researchers and technology providers to examine agricultural financing, productivity, technology adoption, climate resilience and food production. For Nigeria's fragmented input and technology markets, the test will be whether exhibition contacts convert into contracts that reach smallholders and processors at scale.
